The kind of Tuesday where everything felt too hard. Jess stood at the caf\u00e9 counter, fumbling with her card, annoyed at how long the person in front of her was taking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A tired woman was holding up the line. Her card kept declining. Her face flushed with embarrassment. Jess almost sighed out loud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The barista blinked. \u201cFunny thing,\u201d she replied, \u201cI almost didn\u2019t come in that day. Felt like nothing I did mattered.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jess took her hand. \u201cIt mattered.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

two people realised they were light bearers.
